NEI and the DC Chapters of NAYGN and U.S. WIN are supporting the Technology Student Association’s (TSA) National Conference in Washington D.C. We would like to include local members of the American Nuclear Society in this joint outreach opportunity. Volunteers will either judge a student technology competition or Facilitate the Global Nuclear Fuel Cycle game.

Volunteers can register via this online tool: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2014_TSA_Volunteers
TSA is a group of 180,000 middle and high school students who are interested in future careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The National Conference will boast 5,000+ students and educators who are participating in the final rounds of one of sixty STEM related competitions. Having the opportunity to run the Global Nuclear Fuel Cycle game is unique. Nuclear is the only industry offered a workshop to educate such a large number of students.

Volunteer Times

  • Fuel Cycle Game – Sunday, June 29 from 11am to 4pm
  • Student Competitions – Either June 28, 29 or 30 from 8am to 4pm

The conference is taking place at the  Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Volunteers will be provided additional details via email. Questions can be sent to Elizabeth McAndrew-Benavides at emb@nei.org or 202-739-8143.
